Transmigration: A Plan to Save My Lovely Wife and Adorable Child
Chapter 075 – Yin Ping’s Scheme
Not long after, the staff member returned with a joyful expression.
“Mr. Gu, do you have all the necessary documents? I can enter the information for your spot right away.”
“Thank you! Sorry for the trouble!”
Gu Xingyi quickly nodded and expressed his thanks, handing over all the documents. He had already looked up everything needed online before coming.
The registration was completed quickly. The staff member returned the documents to Gu Xingyi, then gently rubbed Xiao Nainai’s little head and said,
“Alright, the registration is done. Mr. Gu, please make sure your phone stays reachable. Our laoshi will arrange a home visit to get to know the child and learn more about her situation. Just wait patiently, Mr. Gu.
Also, our school year starts on September 1st. Please, don’t forget it this time!”
Gu Xingyi took the documents and shook hands with her again.
“Got it! Got it! Thank you so much! I’ll be sure to keep that in mind!”
With everything settled, Gu Xingyi finally left with Nainai, under the reluctant gazes of the two staff members.
Once outside the kindergarten gates, Gu Xingyi let out a long sigh of relief. He had only come to give it a try, not expecting it to actually work out.
He hadn't known there would be a home visit before enrollment, either.
Thinking about that made him a little nervous. It was his first time as a father, and now his child’s first laoshi was going to visit their home—he felt a bit flustered.
But this was something all parents had to go through. Gu Xingyi could only force down the nervousness in his heart and bring Nainai back home.
Right now, Gu Xingyi had a lot on his plate—preparing everything Nainai needed for kindergarten, selecting the next song for Xia Xiyao’s upcoming competition, and finding a complete anime plot idea for Chen Feng.
All of it fell on him to handle, and even with his experience as a transmigrator, it was enough to give him a headache.
He was swamped, but fortunately, everything was still going smoothly.
Meanwhile, in Modu.
A light drizzle was falling from the sky.
Inside the Haishang Yue Grand Hotel, Yin Ping was dining with a stylishly dressed woman.
The woman had long, wavy hair and looked very elegant as she swirled the red wine in her glass, took a small sip, and gently placed the glass back on the table.
“Minister Yin, it’s all thanks to your support that I became popular back then. But, what you’re asking me to do this time isn’t going to be easy, you know~”
Though she was around thirty, her voice was so sweet it was almost cloying.
But Yin Ping clearly liked that kind of coquettish tone. Even the way he looked at her carried a glow of appreciation.
“Xiaoxiao, don’t worry. I’ve already spoken with Wang Bing. If Xia Xiyao’s next opponent really is Cheng Di, he’ll cast his vote for Cheng Di. And with your vote too, we’ve got this in the bag!”
Yin Ping looked completely confident, even a little smug. A worker would always be just a worker—how could they possibly compete with someone like him, someone with capital?
There were four mentor judges in StarSong Gathering. He had already convinced two of them. As long as Ran Xiaoxiao agreed, Xia Xiyao would definitely lose the next round!
Ran Xiaoxiao narrowed her phoenix-like eyes at Yin Ping’s confident demeanor.
“Oh? Even if you’ve convinced Wang Bing, and add my vote to that, it’s still only two votes. How can you say it’s guaranteed?”
Yin Ping kept smiling and adjusted the gold-rimmed glasses on his nose.
“What if we also had Xue Xiaoqian’s vote?”
“Xue Xiaoqian? That upright, incorruptible guy? No way!”
Ran Xiaoxiao frowned. If it were anyone else, she might believe it, but when it came to Xue Xiaoqian, no chance.
Yin Ping gave her a mysterious smile, poured her another glass of wine, and chuckled.
“There’s no such thing as impossible. Don’t worry about that—just tell me if you’ll help me or not.”
Ran Xiaoxiao thought for a moment. Looking at Yin Ping’s full-of-confidence expression, she raised her glass again, took a small sip, and said to him,
“Cheers.”
Yin Ping immediately beamed with joy.
“Cheers!”
After the meal, Yin Ping reluctantly escorted Ran Xiaoxiao to her car, watching as she drove away.
She was now a popular actress—no longer someone he could manipulate at will like before. That left Yin Ping feeling a little down.
But he quickly buried that disappointment, a smile returning to his face.
Now, out of the four judges on StarSong Gathering, three were already in his pocket. If Xia Xiyao really went up against Cheng Di, how could she possibly win? Did she really think the entertainment industry was so clean? Naive!
Besides, he had even brought in Wu Fan—the godfather of music—to compose a song just for Cheng Di! With that, he wasn’t worried about winning over the audience either!
As for Wu Fan’s previous loss to Gu Xingyi, he hadn’t given it a second thought.
Wu Fan had personally assured him that this time, the song would be excellent. Last time? That was just because Liu Qian couldn’t deliver—it had little to do with Wu Fan himself!
With everything and everyone falling into place, Yin Ping proudly got into his car and headed off to Yin Hai Entertainment.
Meanwhile, Gu Xingyi had no idea about any of this.
Right now, he was researching how to write manga plots online, while jotting down the story of Under One Person in a thick notebook.
Even though his memory of the anime was vivid, writing it out was still incredibly tough.
What troubled him the most were the scene transitions and descriptions, as well as crafting character personalities and dialogue. He had to squeeze every last bit of effort out of his brain to get the details right.
It was especially hard for someone like him who wasn’t a professional writer. Even when it came to writing about a minor supporting role, he had to think for ages to find the right words—but even so, he was still faster than most people.
After all, for the average person to come up with a complete story idea would take years of experience and accumulation.
Creating something from scratch was nothing like standing on the shoulders of giants—they were two completely different things.
And besides, this wasn’t even the urgent part. After writing it out, he still had to hire a manga artist to draw it, and only then could it be turned into an anime.
At his current pace, he believed that within a month at most, he could fully finish the plot for Season 1 of Under One Person.
As for Xia Xiyao’s song, he had already come up with an idea.
It had hit him suddenly during a video call with Xia Xiyao earlier that day—a song specially written for long-distance lovers.
Gu Xingyi knew that as the competition progressed, things would only get harder. If he didn’t pull out a trump card, she might lose badly.
The main issue was that Xia Xiyao didn’t have enough foundation. Unlike famous singers who already had a solid fanbase that only grew stronger, she had a short path to fame, came with a lot of controversy, and had very few dedicated fans. That was her greatest disadvantage. Only by consistently delivering great work could she make up for that.
He kept working until nightfall. After coaxing Xiao Nainai to sleep, Gu Xingyi returned to the living room and sat at the table again.
He laid the sheet music flat but didn’t start writing right away. Instead, he tapped out the rhythm quietly, softly humming the melody to himself.
This song wasn’t just about amazing lyrics—the key was the melody and, above all, the intro.
After humming through it once, Gu Xingyi finally picked up his pen and wrote out the complete composition, marking down all the instruments that would be used.
When the final note was written, he picked up the music sheet and looked it over once more, a satisfied smile slowly spreading across his face.
That intro? Damn, it’s absolutely unbeatable.
